GIRL TALK Empowerment
International Women's Day
Katie Zeppieri, the founder of GIRL TALK Empowerment asked us to document her day as she toured the Greater Toronto Area on International Women's Day. As a public speaker, she wanted her talks documented as she spoke across a range of venues including schools, shopping malls and at the Microsoft Canada office in Mississauga.
We felt that including elements of Vlogging was vital to conveying Katie's message for a number of reasons. Katie's target demographic is girls and young women who she aims to motivate and empower through inspirational stories of entrepreneurship and making a mark in the world. By creating a vlog style production, we created content in a highly-consumable format for her audience.
We also felt that by creating a vlog, we could really humanize her brand and show her audience the behind-the-scenes of running her business and what she's like when she's not on stage. This is really important in public speaking. At the end of the day, schools and businesses are going to be investing in the person that is talking and being a public speaker is like building a personal brand. The video emphasized powerful clips from Katie's talks and footage from throughout the day.
